My SUP (Stand Up Paddle Board)  is similar in shape and size to a traditional surfers Longboard.

It is created using thin veneers cut from a single solid plank of American Walnut.

The veneers were glued onto a  polyurethane blank that I carefully shaped using the common hand plane and sander.

The boards tip, tail and side rails are constructed from solid Walnut.

Westsystems Epoxy has been used with fibreglass cloth to add strength and to make the board water proof.

Epifanes UV marine varnish is used to give protection to epoxy and to make the board shine. In Sweden I shop at HF Marin for all my boating supplies.

The paddle board is approximately 2700mm long x 620mm wide or 9 foot.

Its weight is close to 14 kg

The paddle is created from Cedar strips that were left over from a canoe build. The paddle blade has been fibreglassed and coated with black epoxy.
